How Oreviyo collects, uses, stores, and shares information.

This Privacy Policy explains how Oreviyo collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our mobile application and related services.

By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information, depending on how you use the app and what you choose to provide:

  • Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, sign-in method, and account identifiers.
  • Trip planning content you add, such as destinations, travel dates, flights, itinerary items, packing lists, notes, shared trip members, uploaded images, and World locations.
  • Subscription and purchase verification information from Apple, Google, or another supported store, such as plan status, product or transaction identifiers, and expiration information.
  • Technical and service information, such as device type, operating system, app version, authentication or session data, logs, and error reports used to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect your credit card number, CVV, Apple ID password, Google account password, or store payment credentials. Payments are handled by Apple or Google.

2. Guest Mode

If you use the app in guest mode, some data may be stored locally on your device. Guest data may not be backed up to our backend unless you create an account and sync your data.

If you delete the app, clear device storage, or change devices, guest data may be lost.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • provide and operate the app
  • create and manage your account
  • save and sync your trips
  • show your itineraries, packing lists, notes, and World map
  • allow shared trip collaboration
  • process and verify Premium subscription status
  • send account, invite, or service-related emails
  • improve app performance and reliability
  • detect abuse, security issues, or policy violations
  • comply with legal obligations

4. Trip Sharing

If you invite someone to a trip, that person may see the trip information you share with them according to their role.

If someone invites you to a trip, your profile or account information may be visible to the trip owner or members as needed for collaboration.

Only share trips with people you trust.

5. Uploaded Images and Moderation

If image upload is available, uploaded images may be processed to verify file type, reduce file size, remove metadata, store the image, and check for unsafe or inappropriate content.

We may use automated moderation tools to help detect nudity, violence, offensive content, or other unsafe content. Images that violate our rules may be rejected or removed.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by Apple or Google depending on your device and purchase platform.

We receive limited subscription information needed to verify your purchase and unlock Premium access, such as product ID, transaction ID, purchase token, status, and expiration date.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

7. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party service providers to operate the app, such as:

  • cloud hosting and database providers
  • authentication providers
  • email delivery providers
  • map providers
  • payment platforms, including Apple and Google
  • image storage providers
  • image moderation providers
  • analytics or crash reporting providers, if enabled

These providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information:

  • with service providers who help operate the app
  • with invited trip members, based on your sharing settings
  • with Apple or Google for subscription verification
  • if required by law, legal process, or government request
  • to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the app, or others
  • in connection with a business transfer, such as merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

9. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain your account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information where reasonably possible, unless we need to keep certain information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or legitimate business reasons.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices

Depending on available app features, you may be able to:

  • update your name
  • sign out
  • delete content you created
  • delete trips or notes
  • manage shared trip members
  • cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google
  • request account deletion

Email changes may require verification and may not be available until a verified email-change flow is implemented.

12. Children

The app is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law to use online services without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.

13. International Use

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we may notify you in the app or through another reasonable method. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
